Sharing Your PhotoBook Using MyPublisher
To share your order before purchasing it, click on the blue share button, which is located towards the bottom right of the MyPublisher window. After clicking the Share button, the program will access the Shopping Cart.
After you drag and drop a photo onto the cover and click the 'Next' button, you'll see a custom flap that's ready for you to add a photo and some text. On the right side of the Book, you'll see a title page with a place to drop a photo and insert text. If you don't want a custom jacket, you can change the jacket layout by clicking on the flap, and then clicking on the 'Page Layout' button near center of the toolbar at the bottom of window. Just click on the simple jacket type -- that's the one on the left. This will change the flaps, back cover and spine to simple layout. Should you decide to create a custom jacket layout, you'll be able to use the 'First/Back,' 'Next/Last' buttons to navigate to the spine, flaps and covers so you can edit them as you go.
Sharing your order requires a MyPublisher username and password. If you don't have one you can create one easily at that point. No credit card is required to share your order.
Note: During the book share process, no style choices are given. For example, there is no choice in cover color when sharing only.
The steps for submitting a Share in the shopping cart are as follows:
- Log in with your username/password
- Type in the emails of the friends and family with whom you wish to share your order
- Receive the file upload (a low-resolution version of your order that is available for viewing only)
- Receive confirmation of Share
After your order has been shared, your friends and family will receive an individual e-mail with a link to view the product. You will also receive an e-mail, which provides information to view the product as well.
The order is viewed in a share-only version of MyBookshelf. Neither you nor your family and friends can buy the book at this point, since it's only a low-resolution version for online viewing only. Once you place the first order, it then becomes available for purchase via MyBookshelf.
