A resident of Palo Alto, California, Rohrbach was born in Australia and grew up in southern California. She draws not only from her everyday life but also her years traveling the globe

Laurie discovered her "calling" as an artist well after starting a career in healthcare, shortly after finding letters penned by her late mother, who died when Laurie was just three. Laurie's mother decorated the margins of her letters with artsy doodles, sketching a stylish dress or Mayan jacket she admired in local marketplaces in Europe.

Laurie's appreciation for the fine art of stationery shines through in MyPublisher's Lobird line where customers will find sophisticated images brushed on the page in a crisp, simple style.
